DELAND SENIOR COUNCIL

The DeLand Senior Council is a representative group of seniors who work under the auspices of the City of DeLand, FL.

Our mission is to identify issues important to seniors (and the city) and provide plans and programs to improve senior lifestyles, and establish communications among seniors in the communities in which they live. Our goals are: improved safety - health - communications - activities - transportation and social programs.

We also carry out programs and requests from the state level as suggested by the governor, and report results and gains in the local community. We work with other agencies and may conduct surveys, print informative materials, and host or sponsor events that benefit seniors.

An ongoing project is our Senior Volunteer program.
